William Wallace "Clyde" Reid - President, Clan Donnachaidh Pacific Northwest Branch - Email: wwwreid@gmail.com

William Wallace 'Clyde' Reid has been President of the Pacific Northwest Branch of Clan Donnachaidh since 2012. Clan D Pac NW seeks to reach out to our kinfolk in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana by sharing information about Celtic activities and events in general and Clan Donnachaidh in particular.

A native of Oregon, Clyde grew up in Spokane and went to school at the University of Puget Sound and the University of Washington before moving to Washington, DC to spend 30 years in public affairs, editing and publishing for the federal government.  When it was time to retire, Clyde and wife Linda made a bee-line to the Oregon Coast and are very happy to live at Salishan in Gleneden Beach.

With grown daughters living in Ashland, OR and San Francisco, Clyde and Linda feel a strong connection with the Northwest corner of the nation.  Working with the other Clan D Pac NW leaders, the Branch is looking to grow and share our love of all things Scottish!

Robert Robertson - Vice President for Western Oregon - Email: shonuffrob@gmail.com

Robert L. "Rob" Robertson - Clan Donnachaidh Pacific Northwest Branch Vice President for Oregon since 2014, was born in Vancouver, WA in 1956.  After graduating from Fort Vancouver High School and The Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA, with a Liberal Arts Degree, Rob has been employed in the mortgage industry since 1978. He has managed operations up and down the west coast of the U.S., landing most recently in Lake Oswego, OR.  Married for 35 years to an Irish girl, Tracy (Collins), they are the proud parents of two wonderful children, Devon McKenzie and Jonathan Cody.

Rob's lifelong interest in his ancestral beginnings stems back to his being a seventh-generation Oregonian. His grandfathers on both sides of his family both arrived in the Northwest, one of them in the 1800's (pre-Oregon Territory).  One grandfather brought the Robertson name to Ashland, OR, in 1876 after moving from Arkansas having spent time in the confederate army.  His grandfather on his mother's side came to Oregon in 1835 having hunted and trapped with Jim Bridger (think "The Revenant") and Ewing Young.  That grandfather led a group of men wrangling the first cattle drive to Oregon from San Jose, California in 1838, driving 900+ head of cattle hundreds of miles, while also dealing with hostile Indians along the way.  His home in Wheatland, OR, was built in 1843 and was the first brick house west of the Rockies.  Rob's father passed away before he got to know him, but in reading the many letters he wrote weekly during WWII, it was very apparent his dad was a proud Scotsman and cherished his heritage.

We literally would not be where we are today without Diane’s faithful contributions, time and energy. She helped put Clan D on the map again in Oregon and she will be forever missed!

Diane was a native Oregonian, born in Linn County, and growing up in Douglas County.  An Army veteran, she spent three years stationed in Washington, DC, at Ft. Meyer, VA.  She headed back to Oregon, where she spent the rest of her life.
